NEWSLETTER NO. 1 TERM 4 23rd October 2020
We head towards summer. There are signs that sunshine wants to stay
and warm us up . . . then it retreats. Labour Weekend tends to herald the great weather is almost here.
REMEMBER NO SCHOOL THIS COMING MONDAY 26TH OCT.
What a year it has been. Covid 19 has changed routines, sometimes for the better but it is a new challenge for the world and we all do the best we can.
The last date of this term is Wednesday 16th December and school will start again for Don Buck Primary on Thursday 4th February.
Sun Safe
Please send your child with a hat this term to protect them from the sun. It is already really hot outside at play times.
Fitness matters
The Physical Education curriculum includes our Cross Country run/walk. We are going to be having this day on Wednesday 4th November. The children have started their training sessions. If your child is unable to run, they are fine walking the course.
This year due to lockdowns, we haven’t had the regular fitness activities. This Cross Country will be around . . .
- The right attitude
- Giving it a good go
- Supporting classmates
- Headdress competition.
We will talk more about the headdress competition closer to the day. You’ve got to be in to win!!
