Welcome. It is great to see you all back at school.
A special welcome to all our new students, families and staff.
Don Buck Staff and Board of Trustees look forward to working with the students, parents, caregivers and whanau throughout the year. We are passionate about working with our school community to ensure that all students are happy and enjoy a successful learning journey.
Don Buck School is fortunate to have a full complement of teaching staff to start the year. This is a luxury that some Auckland schools do not have.

CARING FOR OUR STUDENTS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION
As part of our Home/School partnership, we ask families/whanau to let us know everything we need to know to meet the needs of your child. If you have any legal documentation regarding custody agreements or medical information regarding your child/children, we need to have a copy on file to be able to implement any instructions.
Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any concerns regarding your child. We are here to support our students and their wellbeing.
1st or only child $20 per student / per term = $80.00 per year
2nd child in the family $17.50 per student / per term = $70.00 per year
3rd, 4th, 5th child in family $15.00 per student / per term = $60.00 per year
All these amounts have a $5.00 discount if paid in full by 12th April 2019.
If your child is sick or absent from school, please phone the school office on the morning they are away and a note must be provided when your child returns to school.
SAFETY AT THE SCHOOL GATE
We ask that you DO NOT park on the yellow lines, across school entrance gates, driveways or on the grass. We will not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour or language in or around the carpark. This will help to keep your children safe.
SCHOOL UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Our school uniform is seen as an important part of our school culture and students are expected to wear the correct uniform at a times, including when they arrive and leave school each day. Please support us in this. If your child is wearing incorrect uniform for a day or two, a note must be brought to the class teacher. Any long term problems need to be discussed with the Principal. Watches and simple pierced earring studs are acceptable but no other jewellery may be worn. Nail polish may not be worn. Hair accessories should be simple and match the uniform i.e, black, blue or white.
Girls – School polo shirt, black skorts or black shorts (no bike pants, leggings, jeans or very short shorts), school jacket, school sunhat, black sandals or black shoes, white or black socks.
Boys – School polo shirt, black shorts or black pants (no jeans, track pants) school jacket, school sunhat, black sandals or black shoes, white or black socks.
We are a sun-safe school. During terms 1 and 4, hats must be worn during all outdoor activities throughout the school day. We have a limited supply of hats which can be purchased from the office, Caps $5.00. Bucket hats $10.00
